Cultural Skills Training

In addition to their studies, our beneficiaries are taught the traditional Cambodian art
of Khmer weaving at our Community Centre, conferring on them the practical skills to earn an income and enrich their community.

The scarves crafted during their time with Project Change International are currently sold throughout markets in Sydney, Australia and through our online shop with 100% of all profits re-invested into our project, funding income support and educational scholarships. We ensure beneficiaries are paid for the products they craft as this provides them with a stable income throughout their time.

Once our beneficiaries are trained in these skills they are encouraged and mentored to train younger generations, to teach them the importance of keeping this cultural tradition alive.
