Sarah Knight

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Sarah Knight founded Project Change International when she was just 22 years old. A passionate activist, Sarah dedicated herself to the wellbeing of PCI’s beneficiaries, our Cambodian staff, and building our organisation’s reputation in the region. Since 2013, she has managed our Cambodian community centre, its staff, teachers, and students, whilst completing her own Law Degree at Sydney University, majoring in Criminal Law.

Sarah is a passionate advocate and speaker for women’s rights and global inequality, and is dedicated to expanding the operations of Project Change International to support young women throughout the world who are subject to poverty, sex trafficking, and exploitation.

Jem Knight

DIRECTOR

Jem Knight is an experienced professional across charitable organisations, corporate social activism, and CSR. Jem has extensive experience of building charities and corporate social activism across The Body Shop, Speakout Limited, and The Big Issue.

Jem co-founded the NSW branch of The Body Shop, a skin and beauty retailer pioneering social activism, totalling 25 stores and growing the mission of responsible sourcing, purchasing, and CSR. She founded and chaired Speakout Limited in Sydney, a charity that provided training, education and employment to at risk and homeless youth in Sydney. She was also the Sydney Director of The Big Issue Magazine and was responsible for the start-up and first 2 years of the operations. Jem joined the PCI board of directors in 2012, when daughter Sarah founded the charity.

Mitchel Martin Weber

PATRON

Mitchel Martin-Weber has been a major donor to PCI since it was founded in 2012, supporting the growth and development of PCI’s projects. In 2017, Mitchel received an Order of Australia for “Significant Service to the Not-For-Profit Sector", through his philanthropic support for a range of organisations.

Mitchel was an Executive Director of Inenco Group, a leading force in industrial engineering across Australia and New Zealand, until its sale in May 2019.
